    January 2018 SA-SHRM Program Announcement

    HCM Technology:  Be the Architect

We are living in a world of technology. It is driving so many facets of our lives – we are surrounded by apps, streaming and social media, on demand products/services  - all of which create an overwhelming amount of data every minute. Technology is designed to lend to efficiency, convenience and insight. While the intentions of the tech innovators are generally for the good, there’s no denying it can easily and quickly become difficult to manage and leverage properly.

Those who have implemented and participated in HCM system(s) conversions will attest to these projects being a memorable experience; rewarding for some, stressful for others. This session will reveal what is behind every professional who proclaims, “If I knew then what I know now, I would have done things differently.”

Like any complex project, a comprehensive, end to end plan is critical.  This session will provide the guidelines, concepts and stories to lend thoughtful planning around optimizing and/or evaluating HCM technology to best fit your organization.   Project success comes from defining and executing on a variety of aspects: the team, timeline, requirements, technical pieces, functional requirements, testing, training and the adoption by the workforce (to name a few).  We will review the keys to: #loveyourHCMsolution!
